Netflix Discontinues the Popular ‘Surprise Me’ Feature

With the amount of content available on streaming platforms today, it can be difficult to decide on a show or movie to watch. A Netflix spokesperson told the Wall Street Journal that the shuffle feature ‘Surprise Me’ has been discontinued.

Surprise Me was a shuffle button feature available on Netflix which allowed users to quickly select a show or movie to watch without having to browse through the entire library. The feature was popular amongst viewers, so its sudden discontinuation has left many people confused. 

Netflix has not given an official statement as to why it has decided to discontinue the feature, but many streaming platforms today are introducing new ways to help users choose content.
